I’ve been a yoga teacher for many years and used a variety of excellent mats. The Alo mat is at once different because it’s buttery soft and smooth at the same time the all important grip is wonderfully effective. It’s heavier than expected because it’s described as lightweight. It is not. I’ve had lightweight mats that are very easy to carry around with a big bag of teaching supplies. I’lll keep this pretty Alo mat to use in my home practice as it’s too cumbersome to travel to and from classes. It’s not easy to simply roll up and tie with my pretty ribbon either.
